Human
The Human is the average race in EQ2 and is decent as any class,9Dragons Power Leveling including scouts. They probably have some of the best racial traits as well which is a definite plus.
For a human I recommend Determination, Physical Adaptability, and both Environmental Adaptability traits. Although Perseverance is a valid choice as well, the +3 defense from Physical Adaptability is much more useful when you want to solo.
