Character Traits
Every race and class will also receive personal traits that they may choose when they reach certain levels. Below areTwelve Sky Power Leveling the levels and choice of traits you will receive at the given levels. For a brigand, I recommend going either strength or agility for the stats, resists are mainly personal preference, and make sure to go 2.5% max power and 3% crushing resist for the other two choices! Simply put, out of combat regen is useless for endgame and max power will let you cast more spells which means you can do more damage; more mobs use crushing attacks as well which is why crushing resists are better. Plus brigands already get a lot of piercing resists from self buffs.

EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide
Kerra
The Kerra is probably the least popular race of the four mentioned here. I rarely see many kerras compared to other races but that doesn’t mean they are bad. In terms of starting stats they are close to the best for a scout, with a pretty even spread for the melee stats and the least amount of int. Their racialTwelve Sky Power Leveling traits are also decent and I recommend Fleetness of Foot, Ancestral Protection, Warm Fur, and Spiritual Enlightenment.

Ratonga
Ah yes, the furry little rats. In terms of looks I think12Sky Power Leveling Ratonga make the perfect brigand. They are highly concentrated on agility for their starting stats which makes it much easier toTwelve Sky Gold hit the 200 soft cap as well. While this could make it harder to get your strength to 200+ it will give you a lot more power as you level up. As far as racial traits go I recommend Rodent Reflexes, Swift Scurry, Toxic Tolerance, and Increased Immunities.

Swift Scurry +3 Avoidance (permanent)
Increased Immunities +5 Disease Resist (permanent)

The Human is the average race in EQ2 and is decent as any class,9Dragons Power Leveling including scouts. They probably have some of the best racial traits as well which is a definite plus.
For a human I recommend Determination, Physical Adaptability, and both Environmental Adaptability traits. Although Perseverance is a valid choice as well, the +3 defense from Physical Adaptability is much more useful when you want to solo.

EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide
the epic mobs have. Your primary purpose as a scout though is utility and damage, agility and strength are the most helpful stats for fulfilling your primary role.
1.2.4. Race and Attributes
Ultimately there is no best race for the scout or brigand class. There are races which excel in the scout class based on starting stats and racial attributes though. I won’t go over every single race in Everquest 2 as may of them can already be found online. Instead I will tell you which Freeport races are the best for a scout if you are going for sheer stat maximization and effective racial traits.
Racial Traits
Out of the races that are able to start on the Freeport side, the following four are best suited for scouts. While you do not need to go with any of these races and can play whatever you want, these are the four that I recommend if you want to have the most effective scout statwise.
Starting Stats
Race Str Agi Sta Int Wis
Ratonga 10 30 15 25 20
Human 20 20 20 20 20
Half Elf 17 25 18 21 19
Kerra 22 23 20 15 20
Half9Dragons Gold Elf
The Half Elf is a very popular scout race with decent starting stats and racial traits that contribute to the scout. In terms of racial traits, you almost always want to get permanent traits, the9 Dragons Gold exception being the +3 defense buff for tanks, but that doesn’t apply to us . The buffs last too short to be useful and don’t add much in terms of upping9Dragons Money our damage per second (dps). As a Half Elf I highly recommend choosing Elven Reflexes, Tenet of Takish’Hiz, Perseverance, then either a permanent crafting buff if you choose to craft or one of the timed buffs of your choice.

EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide
agro more mobs while youCheap 2Moons Dil are trying to get away from the first set, especially in dungeons.
1.2.3. Stat Distribution
As you should already know, there are five main stats in Everquest 2: Strength, Agility, Stamina, Intelligence, and Wisdom. The scout class has a primary stat of agility,2Moons Dil meaning this is the stat that will increase their power with each agility gained. Every class in Everquest 2 has a primary stat which adds to their power pool, their is also a soft cap of 200 for primary stats and their contribution to the power pool. What this means is that for scouts, before 200 agility a scout will receive about 6 power for every 1 agility they gain, after they have gone over the 200 agility soft cap they will only receive about 1.5 power for every 1 agility gained. Keep this in mind when trying to get agility gear, as agility will not increase your melee damage at all, just your power pool and avoidence!
That being said, every stat also has a secondary effect that can make you 2Moons Power Leveling stronger in various ways. As a scout we will be mainly focusing on strength and agility, with a smaller focus on stamina and wisdom, and no focus on intelligence at all since it is useless for the scout class. Here is what each stat will improve:
Strength- This increases your base melee damage when auto-attacking and effects how much weight you can carry.
Agility- As I mentioned earlier, agility increases the avoidance of the player, meaning it is harder to be hit from melee attacks.
Stamina- Stamina increases the player’s hit points (HP).
Wisdom- Wisdom increases power for the priest class and increases your chances of resisting magic spells.
Intelligence- Intelligence increases power for the mage class and also increases magic damage.
As you can see, once your agility can hit 200 self buffed it is best to increase strength to at least 200 to get an added bonus to damage. Equipement which has stamina and wisdom will also be helpful for soloing, if you pull agro, and for AoE attacks that many of

EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide
1.2.2. Brigand Comparison
In terms of damage capabilities, the two rogue subclasses, brigand and swashbuckler, are pretty even. They both have a large number of damage moves and debuffs that have both short cast and recast timers. Unless you betray, you are already forced into one of the two rogue classes depending on the city you start in. Qeynos follows the swashbuckler subclass while the Freeport rogue is taught in the ways of the brigand subclass. Overall I feel that the brigand does have a slight edge when it comes to dps because it is much harder for them to pull agro then it is for a swashbuckler. What this means is that they can dish out more damage without worrying about pulling agro and possibly dieing, especially when it comes to endgame raiding. Brigands can also debuff better at level 50 and in return, swashbucklers have a short duration mez and better AoE attacks.
The reason that it is harder for brigands to pull agro is because of the fact that swashbucklers have hate or “aggro” attached to some of their damage moves while brigand only has one spell that adds hate along with damage. This means that either swashbucklers will: (1) Use more power to cast their de-aggro spells to lose hate, (2) have to be more conservative in using their hate based damage moves, or (3) eventually pull agro onCheap 2Moons Dil the mob and possibly get killed. In terms of damage capability if no agro was involved, brigand and swashbuckler are relatively similar and can both deal out a good amount of dps in the hands of a skilled player.
One other big difference between the brigand and swashbuckler is the way that they are able to stealth and escape from enemies. The brigand focuses on feign death skills to trick the enemy into walking away, while the swashbuckler has short mesmerize skills to give him extra time to run away. In terms of usefullness feign death is a much better2Moons Power Leveling skill, the downside is that it currently only works one time on the same mob while mesmerize can continue to work again and again. Usually this isn’t a problem but there are certain instances when you will somehow agro the same mob twice before it has been killed and feign death will no longer be an option to get away fromBuy 2Moons Dil the enemy. The reason that mesmerize is less useful than feign death is because the mob does not lose agro but instead is just “frozen” in place for a short time. Once mesmerize breaks the mob will continue to chase you until you are out of range. This opens the possibility to

EverQuest 2 Brigand Guide
1. Introduction
This guide will give you everything you need to become a successful brigand from level 1-50 and beyond. Everything from leveling locations, combat strategies, and money making options will be explained. As a bonus there is also a short crafting2Moons Power Leveling guide and strategies for every raid zone currently in-game! This guide should be a useful tool throughout your entire career as a brigand and will provide insight that sets you apart from the average player.
1.1. Scout Archtype
The Scout is a very versatile class that is known for its high melee damage and excellent utility. That being said, scouts are best played in groups as many of their skills are flanking and back attacks. They also provide a large amount of debuffs and/or buffs depending on the scout class you choose. Most importantly, scouts are the only archtype that has the chance to switch a Heroic Opportunity! This is extremely helpful as you start getting into more complex Heroics and start aiming for specific Heroics such as Luminary Fate and Luck’s Bite which will be discussed later. Overall the scout provides various play types depending on your preference. If you’re reading this guide I assume you chose the rogue class which eventually becomes a brigand on the Freeport side. I personally love the rogue class as I am always doing something. Positioning and order of skills are very important in becoming a successful rogue, and this is one of the many things you will learn from this guide.
1.2. Brigand Subclass
1.2.1. Overview
The brigand is the subclass of rogue for the Freeport side. Rogues are known as the tricky and ruthless scout class who will do anything to defeat their opponent. This differs from the predator class which is known for its2Moons Gold high damage stealth attacks and bow skills, and the bard class which is useful for its excellent group buffs and powerful debuffs. In terms of the scout archtype, the rogue class is a mix between the predator and bard, having a good number of debuffs, quick damage moves, and a bow and stealth attack that can deal substantial damage.
